I love my dogs....wouldn't give them up for the world. And, I am completely against BSL. It doesn't work because it doean't attack the very real problems of irresponsible breeding and irresponsible ownership....a lazy solution if you ask me.

Nothing is wrong with pits. I dont love them but i dont think they should be killed.

Hi I used to be afraid of pit bulls only because I was always hearing how they are fighters on the news, kids in high school even went to dog fights, so I ignorantly assumed all pit bulls are fighting dogs and can turn on their owners at any time (from how it sounded in the news).

I was so wrong, it wasn't until I went to dog parks and saw these cute babies how wrong I was so then I read about them this website is great http://www.badrap.org

It's all about the owners, imo.

I don't own one btw I have my hands full 2 puppies already lol. But really it looks like pits are well rounded and affectionate when they arent abused or forced to fight. I think my jack russell terrier mix and border collie mix, need more obedience and activity probably. And I forgot, at puppy kindergarten class, there was a blue pit bull puppy, he was beautiful. And behaved just like all the other puppies there (goldens, labs, poodles, alike)

I love pits too.I love all bull terrier breeds. I'm from Ireland so American Pit Bulls aren't easy to find breeders for. Staffordshire Bull terriers are a lot more popular which I like because they look stocky but dont grow too big.

I don't own purebred dogs. I have a fourway cross with pit in him, I'm against BSL but fully support OSL.

I love Pit Bulls! I hate BSL. I have an American Pit Bull Terrier because they are so much fun, easy to work with, and very loving and eager to please.

I have two bully types.One is an APBT the other is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

I think BSL is so totally wrong.Pits and pit types are the breed of choice to hate right now.

Years ago,and still but to a lesser degree,it was German Shepard's,rotties.and dobermans.

I just keep thinking,This,too,shall pass.

At least I hope so.

In the meantime I try to show everyone how nice and well mannered my dogs are when we are on walks.

Change one mind at a time,that's all we can do.

I am a owner of a 7 month american pitbull terrier. I love the breed they are easy to train. Alot of people buy them because they are cute and dont relize how much work they are. They are not like any other breed they need the proper training and lot and lots of exercise.I think before anyone gets a breed they should do the homework, to see what the background and if the breed is right for them, only a few do this. "i did"

Now the bsl stinks they are pin pointing every single pitbull they dont think about the pitties that save lives,or help the world in war. And the new always put "pitbulls on the front page, do you ever see any other breed on the front page if they bite a person. My question where was the owner when they were biting. I am always around my dog no matter what i do not let anyone to pet him untill i am there, i wanna be incontrol of any situation that could happen. I do this with any breed i own.

I had my puppy since he was 6 weeks I brang him everywhere with me. He loves people,even other dogs. Not every pitbull is mean. Me and my sister-in-law both have male pitbulls they are best friends, they are funny to watch. we watch them closely.

I had never met a pitbull until my sister adopted a "mystery mutt" from the pound who is a pitbull-heeler cross. She is the most intelligent, sensitive, kind, loving dog on Earth. She has taught me that pitbulls have an extremely keen sense of emotional intelligence - she could tell that when I met her, I was going through a difficult time emotionally, and she insisted that I feel better - she got me down on the floor, cuddled up to me, and kept kisisng me until I was laughing out loud. I absolutely adore her, she is the best niece on Earth, and I'm glad to have her in my life - she taught me that pit bulls are a beautiful breed :)

i wont say that i love them but i don't hate them ...btu they are violent dogs and have the tendancy to kill or seriously injure humans but i saw what a pitbull did to a 2 year old child and it hurt...the poor child was only riding his bike and was mauled by two pitbulls.....now tell me in this case what do you do?
